Tart with Green Peas, Tuna and Mint
Tarts, just like pancakes, are one of those dishes that immediately bring to mind the blue, white and red flag. The shortcrust pastry on the bottom holds both sweet and salty stuffing. In our recipe, the tart presents an unusual combination of flavours – tuna with mint and green peas. For a savoury dinner, served hot or cold.

1.
To prepare the dough, cut the butter into small pieces, add the flour, 1 egg, a pinch of salt and 10 ml (20 ml) of cold water. Knead the dough quickly and refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
2.
Meanwhile, wash the mint and chop it. Grate the Grana Padano cheese on a fine grater.
3.
Drain the tuna. Add the remaining eggs into a bowl, add the cream and ½ cup (1 cup) of milk and cream and whisk thoroughly.
Add the grated cheese and salt and pepper to taste. Mix the sauce thoroughly
4.
Set the oven to preheat to 180-200° C „upper & lower” heating mode. Remove the pastry from the fridge and spread it over the baking tray so that it covers the bottom and sides evenly. Then make holes in the dough with a fork and put in the oven to bake for 10-15 minutes, until the dough starts to turn brown.
5.
Remove the baking tray (do not turn off the oven). Put the stuffing on – first place the tuna, then sprinkle the peas and mint, and finally pour the egg and cheese mixture and bake for another 30 minutes, until the egg and cheese mixture turns brown.
6.
Remove the tart from the oven and cut it into pieces. Serve on plates and eat it warm or, if you prefer (and can resist), wait for it to cool. Voila! Enjoy your meal!
