Chicken with Garlic and Black Pepper

Cut the chicken into medium-sized pieces, about 2×2 cm.
Slice the garlic.
In a cup or bowl, mix the soy sauce and cane sugar thoroughly with 3 tbsp (6 tbsp) of water.

Wash the string beans, remove the ends and string them. Boil 500ml (1 litre) of water with 1 tsp (2 tsp) of salt.
When the water starts boiling, add the string beans and cook for about 6 minutes. Drain the cooked beans in a strainer. Wash and chop the spring onions.

Boil 300ml (600ml ) of water with 1 tsp (2 tsp) of salt. Rinse the rice in a sieve with cold water, then add it to boiling salted water and simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally. If it starts to stick to the pan, add water.
When the rice is soft, strain it in a sieve and pour warm water so it remains warm and pour it back into the pot in which it was cooked. Add the chopped spring onions and mix.

In a frying pan, heat the coconut oil, add the chicken and fry it until it turns golden brown. Then add the soy sauce with water and cane sugar, sliced garlic and black pepper and simmer for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Lay out the rice with spring onions, string beans and chicken in pepper and garlic sauce on flat plates. Sprinkle everything with roasted onion. Enjoy your meal!
